What happens at NavNight meetings?
NavNight meetings in one location may look different than meetings in another, but there are some things you can expect from us no matter where you go. For one thing, our large group meetings are designed to bring you and your friends together to have fun and be challenged by God’s Word. You’ll typically find games, a time of worship, and a message, followed by food and a time of just hanging out. Our small group meetings are there for you and a few others to build into one another as you look into the Bible and pray together. But no matter what we’re doing, we want to be a support for you and your friends.
Why is there so much emphasis on the Bible?
We believe that the Bible is God’s direct means of communicating His truth to people (2 Timothy 3:16). Spending time in God’s Word is essential to spiritual growth (1 Peter 2:2) and maturity (Hebrews 5:11-14). That’s why we take the time and effort to dig into Scripture together. We think that the Bible is anything but boring. The relevance of God’s Word to everyday life is fun and exciting to discover - it simply takes guidance to discover this truth and apply it. We can help you do that through Bible study so you can get to know God’s truth for yourself.
Can I bring my friends?
Absolutely! We always welcome new faces to our meetings. In fact, if you have friends who are not being fed spiritually by someone, then we encourage you to invite them out!
Is it just for church people?
Absolutely not. We strive to make TJCNavs a place where students who have grown up in the church and students who have never set foot in a church can come together to discover what Jesus has to do with everyday life.
